CAMPGROUND

 

 

Located at the foot of A Avenue, on the shores of Kootenay Lake and conveniently located beside Vimy Park, a picnic area and shelter, and our childrens' playground.  An easy stroll to the S.S. Moyie National Historic Site and our bustling downtown core.  Serviced and unserviced sites, hot showers, open 9 March to 30 September, sani-dump facilities available locally.

An historic Camperdown Elm graces the center of the campground.

Entering Kaslo from Nelson, turn right at the four way stop light at A Avenue.  Entering Kaslo from New Denver, turn right at the first stop light on A Avenue, and continue straight through the four way stop at the A Avenue and 4th Street intersection.

Serviced (power and water hookup) sites $23

Unserviced (tent) sites $18

 

 

MUNICIPAL  CAMPGROUND  POLICY

 

The following reservation and occupancy policy applies to the Kaslo Municipal Campground:

 

·        Permitted:                     2 Adults
Minimum age of at least 1 person per site must be 25 yearts
$4 each add'l person
(children under age 10 free)
Maximum per site:  4 adults

·        Vehicles permitted:       1 per campsite with the following exceptions:

o       vehicles towed behind a camping unit

o       cyclists who may keep one bicycle or motorcycle per party member at their campsite

·        Tents:                           Maximum permitted  - 4 one person tents per campsite

·        Sites:                            Maximum 18

·        Length of stay:              Maximum 7 days unless prior permission granted by municipal office.

When making reservations by telephone, driver's licence identification is required.  Upon arrival, proof of age may be required.
