2026 Financial Plan
The Village of Kaslo’s 2026 Financial Plan outlines how the municipality will fund services, maintain infrastructure, and invest in the community over the next five years.
The plan covers the 2026–2030 planning period and reflects Council priorities, service levels, and anticipated financial pressures.

Public Consultation
Council welcomed public input on the 2026 Draft Financial Plan before it was adopted.
Residents and stakeholders were invited to:
- Review the draft plan
- Ask questions
- Provide written or verbal feedback
All comments received were shared with Council as part of the budget deliberation process.

What is the Financial Plan?
Financial Plan & Budget
Under the Community Charter, municipalities in British Columbia are required to adopt a multi‑year financial plan each year.
Each year, the Village of Kaslo adopts a five-year Financial Plan that outlines:
- Shows how much revenue is needed and where funding will come from, including taxation, fees, and reserves
- Sets out proposed operating and capital expenditures for services, projects, and infrastructure
- Explains how taxes are used to support municipal priorities
- Supports long-term financial sustainability and helps Council balance community needs with affordability
